I got a 10-15 which means I'm a bit out of control. I feel that his article is very informative on how technology has affected our daily lives. I think it is a little embarrassing that's goldfish have a better memory than us humans which has inspired me to cut down on my technology usage.
ReplyDeleteI got an 11 out of 20 which means I have a bit of a problem. I liked this article very much because it builds awareness of humans' dependency on our phones. It also offered statistics and a quiz. I liked that the article was interactive. It's crazy to read that goldfish have a longer attention span than humans. This quiz made me realize that I should not be as dependent on my phone anymore.
ReplyDeleteI got a 7 out of 20 which means that I need to cut back on my usage. I like how this artcicle helps all of us come to the realization of how much technology has effected. It is alomst scary that goldfish have a longer attention spand then goldfish. i think after reading thisarticle that im definetly going to cut back on my technology usage.
ReplyDelete11 out of 20 which means I have a bit of a problem. I think the article is very important in showing how technology is destroying humans. In a way I can relate to to the article because it says that we humans will pay attention to what they want to. Sometimes, if I'm reading a book I get really lost and I have to read back. Humans seriously have to do something about there technology and attention span.
ReplyDeleteI got a 2 out of 20 so that means I do not have a problem. although I am not addicted to my phone I like how the article says tht our attention span has decreased from 12 seconds to 8 seconds which is less than a goldfish. I also like how the article is saying that staying focused on one thing has decreased, but screen multitasking is on the rise. Even though I'm not really addicted to my phone I will try to keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteI got a 5 out of 20, which means I do not have a problem. I think this article was very informative. It makes me realize how dependent people can be on technology. Even though I am proud of my 5, I'm surprised goldfish have longer attention span. The article did make me aware of how easily I can miss out on daily things if I continue to be engrossed in technology. I've never read an interactive article, which made this interesting.
ReplyDeleteI got 6 out of 10, meaning I should try to cut back on my usage. This article was very informative about how smartphones has damaged us as a society. It shows that we need to stop being so addicted to our phones and try to focus on what's happening around us. This article helped me see that we should be less attached to our phones and more attached to the world around us.
ReplyDeleteI got a 6/10 which means I should cut down my usage.
ReplyDeleteI think this article was very informative on how people use there devices for everything. We are now depending on our phones for our needs. On my phone is usually use it for homework purposes sometimes social media( im not really a fan) and for communicating. It's almost crazy how a humans attention span has decreased from 12 seconds to 8 seconds and a goldfish has a nine second attention span. This is to show how people depend on their phone way to much. And I should decease how much time I spend on my phone even if it is for educational purposes.
I got a 9/20 which the website suggests that I should cut back on my usage. The article is about a study by the computer company Microsoft where they are trying to figure out how technology has affected people’s attention spans. Microsoft conducted an experiment on thousands of Canadians and discovered that the average person’s attention span has decreased to from 12 second in the early 2000's to 8 seconds. This is very bad because that means that goldfish have a longer attention span than humans being that theirs is at 9 seconds. I learned from the information in this article that I should focus more on the important things such as school and try to stop getting distracted by my phone. Although technology is a great thing, too much of it can affect us negatively, which is what the article is trying to teach others. Using what I learned from this article, I am going to try to increase my attention span by lessening the amount of time I spend on my phone and on other devices.
ReplyDeleteI received a 5 out of 10. I don't think I use my phone as much as most people. This article was informational and I liked the survey. I feel that the article is very true about how we have a very short attention span. I always get distracted and can never truly focus on one thing.

ReplyDeleteI received a 6 out of 20, meaning I need to cut back on my usage. I don't use my phone as much because most of the say my time is being used or occupied with school like activities and sports. It will just worry me if in a situation my mom is trying to contact me and my phone is dead. The article in other hand surprises me. Its very upset and disappointing that goldfish have longer attentions spans then us humans. The article provided plenty of information and was very understanding.
ReplyDeleteI got a 6 out of 10 meaning I should cut back on my usage. I don’t feel I use my phone that often, the only feeling where I would want my phone is so that I can get in touch with my mom and dad if they needed me. This article surprised me because I didn’t know how short human attention spans were. It’s very sad that a human has an attention span of 9 seconds. I mean I don’t have the longest attention span but I like to do more than just sit on my phone. I like to go outside and interact, without technology. This article showed me that humans are caught up in technology and that we should be cautious. Children are too bored to read books. Our attention span is affecting the way children are learning. Technology shouldn’t be the only thing in our life.

ReplyDeleteI got a 9 out of 20, that means I have a strong attachment to my phone and need to fix that. I mainly use my phone for keeping in touch with friends/family and for social media. I don't think I have that much of a problem, but it's good to know how I would actually be without it. I'm also suprised by humans and their attention spans, it's very sad that us as a society are so greatly attached to our phones.
ReplyDeleteI got a 6/10, and it means I should cut back on my usage. I don't think I'm too reliant on my phone, but I'll be more aware now of how much time I'm online. This article surprised me on how our attention span is getting smaller. I fell like this is a really bad issue, and part of it is because we are used to Immediate gratification. This article should open everybody's eyes to the world around us. From now on I'll be more aware.
ReplyDeleteI got a 19 out of 20 which says my addiction to my phone is out of control. I think it is embarrassing that my attention span is shorter than a goldfish but I doubt after reading this article I'll cut down on my usage. I have tried to cut down on my usage and I felt very isolated and uncomfortable and will not do it again.
ReplyDeletei got a six out of ten which means i should be using my phone less. this article is very persuasive in making you feel like you need to be on your phone less by telling us that goldfish have a higher attention span then us now. i am always trying to cut back on how much i use my phone and this article really made it so i won't.
ReplyDeleteI got a six out of twenty which means i should cut back on my usage. I feel this article is very informative about the dangers of technology. It is odd to compare our attention spans to goldfish, but it might help people who are addicted to their cellular devices.
ReplyDeletei got a 10 out of 20 witch mean i should cut back on my usage but i feel like the article was very informative but the quiz itself did't take into conisteration that some people have familys that worry about them or parents that want to watch over you or children that are in need of constant care.
